About the event
Overview:
Betty is back to guide us on our next steps as trauma-informed caregivers! Join us for a Part 2 of the "Parents as Healers" training series (as led by Betty and Elise 지애/Gi-Ae Gooi on March 15th) to learn a brain-based approach for responding to children's challenging behaviors in ways that help them heal their traumas and hurts. Parents, adult family members & caretakers, and all ECE professionals are welcome to attend!
(Note: you do not need to have attended Part 1 to participate in/benefit from this workshop)
Why I Should Attend:
As adults who care for young children, we have one of the most important jobs in our society. Raising, educating, and caretaking also pose some of the biggest challenges to our nervous systems and our self-care skills. Being a trauma-informed parent, caretaker, and/or educator means not only learning how the brain and body are affected by stress and trauma, but also building our toolkit for responding in ways that heal and regulate both child and adult. This kind of learning takes repeated practice and a supportive learning environment. Come join us to build your knowledge, skills, and flexibility in the face of challenging behaviors!
